Abstract:
To investigate the deformation and failure characteristics of mining roadways adjacent to close-distance coal seam extraction, this study takes the II8224 working face of Renlou Coal Mine in Anhui Province as the research object. Through laboratory similar material simulation experiments and on-site mine pressure monitoring, the influence of close-distance coal seam group mining on adjacent mining roadways and their failure characteristics were analyzed. The results indicate that in the close-distance coal seam group simulation test, after the mining of the 7
2 coal seam, the compaction of its goaf affects the lower coal seam, with the coal pillar acting as a medium for stress concentration and transfer, thereby influencing the mining of the lower coal seam. The air roadway of the 8224 working face exhibited significant deformation under this influence, accompanied by pronounced rib spalling. Corresponding control measures were proposed based on the failure modes observed in the 8224 air roadway.
