Abstract:
The paper conducts an in-depth analysis of the “three zones” distribution of spontaneous combustion in the goaf of steeply inclined coal seams, taking the 5-302 working face of Jinbei Coal Industry Co.,Ltd.of Huozhou Coal Electricity Group as the research object.Based on oxygen concentration as the dividing criterion, a calculation model for spontaneous combustion in the goaf is established. The oxygen concentration distribution under conditions without nitrogen injection and with nitrogen injection is simulated, which serves as the basis for accurately delineating the “three zones” of spontaneous combustion in the goaf of the 5-302 working face of Jinbei Coal Industry Co.,Ltd.The influence of nitrogen injection technology on the division of the “three zones” is also discussed. The research results indicate that without nitrogen injection, the cooling zone of the goaf ranges from 0~24 m, the spontaneous combustion zone from 24~72 m, and the asphyxiation zone extends beyond 72 m from the working face, with an oxidation zone width of 48 m.For nitrogen injection rates of 500 m
3/min, 800 m
3/min, and 1 000 m
3/min, and injection positions at 15 m, 30 m, 45 m, and 60 m, respectively, nitrogen injection technology significantly reduces the oxygen concentration in the oxidation zone, shortens its boundary, narrows its width, and effectively mitigates the risk of spontaneous combustion.Appropriately adjusting the nitrogen injection volume and optimizing the injection position is of great importance for ensuring the safe production.
