Abstract:
Drillers must build shafts before exploiting deep mineral resources. For inclined shafts passing through complex geological conditions such as loose rich water soil or rich water weak rock layers, ordinary construction methods cannot achieve smooth excavation and masonry. Therefore, special construction methods such as precipitation method, grouting method, and freezing method must be used for construction. The article discusses the applicability of construction methods such as precipitation method, grouting method, freezing method, and shield tunneling method (TBM). It briefly introduces the construction projects of coal mines and complex strata inclined shafts using inclined shaft development in China, focusing on the construction technology of complex strata inclined shafts from the aspects of frozen section wellbore structure, freezing process, and masonry technology. The author summarizes the experience and lessons from the construction of inclined shafts in western China, and lists some coal mine cases where the freezing method was forced to be used for emergency rescue or repair of shafts during the construction period. It further clarifies that under the weakly cemented sandstone layer conditions dominated by pore water content in the Cretaceous and Jurassic periods in western China, the bedrock freezing method is more suitable for drilling wells.
