Abstract:
Addressing the challenge of difficult roadway maintenance in the gob-side entry retaining system employed at Yuecheng Coal Mine, this paper focuses on the 2203(upper) working face.Utilizing key stratum theory, FLAC
3D simulation, and actual measurements of surrounding rock deformation, the author investigates the technical parameters of roof-cutting and pressure relief for the 2203(upper) working face. The results indicate that through empirical parameters combined with the key layer identification program, the main key layer is identified as the siltstone above the roof, which is 44.27 meters thick, and the sub-key layer is identified as the fine-grained sandstone, which is 16.18 meters thick. The roof-cutting direction is aligned with the working face, the roof-cutting height is 10 meters, the roof-cutting angle is 70°,and the blasting hole spacing is 2 meters.Field measurements show that after employing the roof-cutting pressure relief technique, the deformation of the surrounding rock in the roadway is minimal, and the integrity of the filling body beside the roadway is better preserved.
