Abstract:
Mining activities have caused severe damage to the ecological environment, including soil contamination, vegetation destruction, water resource depletion, and geological hazards. These impacts not only disrupt ecological balance but also pose a threat to the sustainable development of human society. As a critical approach to addressing mining-related ecological environment issues, ecological remediation involves diverse technological methods such as chemical remediation, microbial remediation, plant remediation, and physical remediation. This paper outlines ecological environment damage caused by mining activities and provides a detailed list of major ecological remediation technologies for mining areas, including their applicable pollutants, remediation principles and mechanisms, treatment efficiency, and costs. Finally, the paper insights into the future development trends of ecological environment remediation technology for mines.
